We’re grateful, Father,
That we can trust you.
Your word, once spoken
Is faithful; it’s true.
It’s unshakable;
Every promise “Yes”;
A firm foundation
Upon which we rest.
As we face trials
And mirrors of shame,
Faith in the gospel
We strive to maintain…
For our thoughts you judge;
The hidden you know.
Your word is alive
Piercing into our souls.
Your truth is active,
Exposing within,
Making us mature,
Overcoming sin.
Today we rejoice:
Your word is our light.
In darkness it shines,
Guiding, giving sight.
Help us to treasure,
Your word to hold dear.
Awaken new faith;
Give us ears to hear.
